Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda Partners with KiBO Foundation to Empower Women Entrepreneurs

Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) has partnered with the KiBO Foundation to launch the “Women Arise” initiative, a skills training program designed to empower women entrepreneurs in the Kampala metropolitan area. Over 1,000 women have benefited from the program, which focuses on entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and business leadership.

A Collaborative Effort

The partnership between CCBU and KiBO Foundation is a testament to the power of collaboration in driving positive change. “We act in ways that aim to help improve people’s lives,” said Kirunda Magoola, Public Affairs, Communication, and Sustainability Director at CCBU. The program has equipped women with essential skills in financial literacy, business management, leadership, and ICT.

Impactful Results

The program’s impact is evident in the stories of the women who have participated. Each participant designed an Action Learning Project, developed a business plan, and presented it to CCBU and KiBO Foundation. The initiative has provided women with the tools and support needed to achieve sustainable economic independence.

Shared Value

The “Women Arise” initiative aligns with Coca-Cola’s commitment to creating shared value and improving lives. “Our people are driven to make an impact, passionate about learning, and committed to caring for others,” said Magoola. The partnership with KiBO Foundation has made a significant difference in the lives of many women and their families.

A Bright Future

As Winnie Muwanguzi, Head of Programmes at KiBO Foundation, noted, “Together, we made a difference in the lives of many women and their families.” The “Women Arise” initiative is a shining example of how partnerships can drive positive change and empower women entrepreneurs in Uganda
