The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) has embarked on a new chapter with the unveiling of its governing Council for the 2025-2027 term. Led by the esteemed President, CPA Timothy David Ediomu, and Vice President, CPA Alfred Beitwababo Kabuchu, this distinguished body is poised to steer the Institute’s strategic direction and uphold the highest standards of the accounting profession.

Comprising a team of seasoned professionals, the Council boasts an impressive array of expertise. Members include CPA Dr. Albert Otete, CPA Christine Mugume, CPA Nancy Amuge Owino, CPA Sandra Nakibuule Batte, CPA Annet Nantumbwe, CPA Dr. Fixon Akonya Okonye, CPA Stephen Ojiambo, CPA James Bantu, and CPA Derick Nkajja, who serves as the Secretary and CEO of ICPAU.

As the new Council takes the reins, ICPAU extends its heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing Council for their tireless service and invaluable contributions. The incoming Council will be supported by key committees, including the Public Accountants Examinations Board and Quality Assurance Board, ensuring the Institute’s regulatory and professional mandate is upheld.

This new chapter marks ICPAU’s renewed commitment to excellence, ethical leadership, and advancing Uganda’s accountancy profession. As a proud member of the Pan African Federation of Accountants and International Federation of Accountants, ICPAU remains dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in the industry.
