KCB Bank Uganda is calling on women entrepreneurs in the creative industry to move beyond routine banking and embrace strategic investment as a pathway to growing and sustaining their businesses.
The message was delivered during the Flower Land Fest 2026 at Design Hub, Bugolobi, where the bank participated as a Gold Sponsor. The festival also marked the closing of the 2026 Annual Women’s History Exhibit, themed “A Garden of Her Own.”
The event brought together hundreds of young professionals, creatives, and small business founders, transforming the venue into a vibrant hub of innovation, networking, and enterprise. Female-led micro and small businesses showcased their brands while gaining insights from industry experts and financial advisors on scaling ventures within Uganda’s fast-growing creative economy.
During a panel discussion on “Women and the Creative Economy,” Gladys Nalukenge Lubowa, Relationship Manager for Women in Business at KCB Bank Uganda, encouraged participants to pair their creative talents with strong financial planning.

“Many creatives focus on their craft but overlook financial tools beyond daily transactions,” Nalukenge noted. “Yet building a sustainable business requires financial stability. Strategic investment and careful financial planning are essential for long-term growth.”
She highlighted that KCB Bank is supporting women to access SME financing, investment planning, and digital financial solutions tailored to strengthen their businesses. “Whether you are a fashion designer, an artist, or a digital content creator, KCB Bank Uganda is ready to help you build a sustainable enterprise,” she said.
At the festival, KCB Bank also hosted an interactive booth, offering participants hands-on guidance on SME financing options, investment strategies, and digital banking tools.
As the “Because of Her” celebrations concluded, KCB Bank Uganda reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women-led businesses year-round through specialized financial solutions and capacity-building initiatives.
