OLEA Insurance Solutions Africa has officially been unveiled in Uganda, marking a significant milestone in the expansion of the Pan-African insurance brokerage into East Africa. The launch event, held in Kampala, brought together industry regulators, insurers, corporate clients and key stakeholders from the financial services sector.

The entry of OLEA into the Ugandan market follows its acquisition of Marsh Uganda, a move that ensures continuity while strengthening the country’s insurance brokerage landscape. Founded in 2017, OLEA Insurance Solutions Africa operates across several African markets, providing tailored insurance and risk management solutions to both local and multinational clients.

Speaking at the launch, Fiona Magezi, the Managing Director of OLEA Uganda, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to client-centred service, growth and resilience. She noted that OLEA’s deep understanding of African markets positions it well to deliver innovative insurance solutions suited to Uganda’s evolving business environment.

The event was officiated by the Chief Executive Officer of the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda, Alhaji Ibrahim Kaddunabbi Lubega, who welcomed the transition from Marsh to OLEA, describing it as a positive development for the insurance sector. OLEA Uganda Board Chairman Paul Muhame added that the launch symbolised renewal, continuity and strategic growth, coinciding with the group’s ninth anniversary on the continent.
