Kansai Plascon Uganda has launched the 14th edition of its renowned consumer promotion, “Paint and Win”, marking the start of a 10-week campaign designed to reward customer loyalty, themed “The Colours of Excitement”. Officially unveiled at the Plascon Head Offices in Kampala’s Industrial Area on October 1, 2025, the promotion will run until December 11, 2025.
With over a decade of reinforcing Plascon’s leadership – the company currently commands a substantial 70% market share in Uganda’s paint industry – the “Paint and Win” campaign stands as a pivotal strategy. Eligibility is straightforward: customers qualify by purchasing Plascon paint valued at 100,000 Ugandan shillings (UGX) or more, earning a scratch card with entry into prize draws.
The promotion brims with winning opportunities – daily and weekly. Six fortunate customers will each win UGX 1,000,000 daily from Monday to Saturday. Televised weekly draws will distribute a share of UGX 3 million or award a brand-new motorcycle. Notable prizes include a fully registered tricycle (tuk-tuk) up for grabs midway and at the campaign’s conclusion. Furthermore, activation teams will visit nine Ugandan towns, offering contestants chances to win a motorcycle along with protective gear, or a UGX 100,000 cash alternative.
Santosh Gumte, Managing Director of Kansai Plascon Uganda, underscored the campaign’s essence as a celebration of the company’s customer base. “Paint and Win has always been our way of celebrating the loyalty of our customers while sharing the excitement that comes with the Plascon brand,” Gumte expressed. “This year’s ‘Colours of Excitement’ edition is about spreading joy and rewarding the people who continue to make us the market leader.” The initiative underscores Plascon’s commitment to engaging and appreciating its patrons, fuelling its prominent position in Uganda’s paint market.
