In a bid to empower university students with essential life skills, Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) and Family Uplift have launched the Campus Version 2025 program. This initiative aims to equip students with practical financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills, enabling them to make informed decisions and build sustainable futures.
The program, which kicked off in February this year, has already reached students at Makerere University, Kampala International University, and Clarke International University. Through interactive and hands-on training, students gain valuable experience in financial planning, investment, and entrepreneurship.
According to Kirunda Magoola, Public Affairs, Communication, and Sustainability Director at CCBU, the company is committed to creating shared value for both its business and the communities it serves. “We act in ways that aim to help improve people’s lives,” Magoola said, highlighting the importance of community involvement in driving positive change.
Munduru Mwajuma Esther, Team Lead at the Financial Education Academy, emphasized the significance of financial literacy for youth. “It’s not just a skill, but a necessity for building sustainable livelihoods,” she said. “Through this partnership with CCBU, we’re bridging the gap between education and practical financial skills, empowering students to navigate their financial journeys with confidence.”
