Clabane Skincare has been named the Most Preferred Skincare Products brand in East Africa at the sixth East Africa Brand Quality Awards held at Hotel Africana in Kampala on October 16, 2026.
The award recognises brands and business leaders across nine East African countries, with winners selected through public voting and an independent market survey evaluated by a panel of experts.
The recognition comes as Clabane continues to expand its product range, with the company developing formulations it says are suited to the needs of African consumers.
Muhammad Bashir, Clabane’s Chief Operating Officer, said the company is focused on improving its products while responding to changing consumer needs.
“We are always innovating to meet the standards and needs of African skin. Our focus is on continuously improving and developing skincare solutions that respond to our consumers’ needs while maintaining our commitment to quality,” Bashir said.
Among the company’s recent products is the Clabane Glass Skin Orange Peeling Lotion, an evening treatment designed to help improve the feel and appearance of the skin.
The lotion is based on the growing “glass skin” trend, which is associated with a smooth, clear and luminous complexion. It contains vitamin C and citrus-derived ingredients alongside glycerin, betaine, aloe vera and jojoba oil, which provide conditioning and hydration.
According to Clabane, the formulation has been used in its clinical setting on hundreds of patients over the past two years, with the company reporting good tolerability.
The product is recommended for evening use once or twice a week. Users are advised to follow the instructions, conduct a patch test before applying it for the first time and use sunscreen during the day.
Clabane said the award provides recognition of its growing presence in the regional skincare market, while the launch of new products demonstrates its continued investment in research, product development and quality.
